100 Years Psychiatry & Neurobiology
When the German Research Institute of Psychology (DFA) was founded in 1917, its broad, interdisciplinary approach set new standards in the fields of psychiatric and neurobiological research. Now, in 2017, the two Max Planck Institutes that the DFA gave rise to look back on a century of research in these areas.
A symposium featuring talks by some of today‘s leading scientists in these fields highlights how far research has come in the past 100 years. Speakers are:

We are looking forward to welcome our invited guests to our opening ceremony on March 14th, in the historical home of the DFA in Kraepelinstreet 2.
The accompanying exhibitions will highlight methods and achievements as well as the institutes‘ past to our visitors and guests. At the Max Planck Institute of Neurobiology, the exhibition is open to the public between March 15 and April 28, Monday to Sunday, 9 am to 8 pm.
