Lecture series: Science for everyone. Research at the Campus Martinsried / Großhadern

Over the years, the campus Martinsried / Großhadern has earned a reputation for excellent scientific work. In 2012, six leading scientists present the aims and background of their work in this generally understandable lecture series. (Download the program PDF from the right column.)

Everyone is welcome and admission is free. Talks are given in German.

Open day

Every other year, the Max Planck Institutes of Neurobiology and Biochemistry invite the general public to take a peek behind the scene: Tours through the labs of scientific departments and groups as well as those of service groups, talks, interactive information desks and our hands-on "MaxLab" provide ample possibilities to gather information about the latest research at the two institutes. An opportunity, of which more than 4000 visitors made use during the last Open Day on November 27, 2010.

The next Open Day will be on November 10, 2012.
