MP Neuro PhD Symposium
This symposium is designed for PhD-Students of the Max-Planck-Society in the field of neuroscience to develop the necessary skills to become future PIs. The key points would include:
- Connecting with other students from the different Max-Planck-Institutes and labs that work on the same broad topic of neuroscience
- Expand your network within the scientific community of the MPS
- Presenting your work concisely to a broad audience
- Learn about potential difficulties and alternative career paths
The schedule of the symposium includes short talks (15 minutes plus 5 minutes of questions), poster sessions, key note lectures, a mentorship session, and lab tours. We will send out the exact schedule to all participants, as soon as it is finalized.
Dinner and refreshments will be provided for attendants during the symposium. Lunch can be eaten at our local canteen. For participants coming from outside the Munich area, we have reserved rooms at a hotel close to the MPI of Neurobiology. Unfortunately, you have to pay for lunch and the accommodation yourself.
On Sunday the 19th, we plan the arrival and registration from 1pm to 3pm and the closing remarks will be held at around 1pm on Tuesday the 21st, after which you can join us for one more lunch in our cafeteria. Thereafter we are organizing an optional sightseeing event in Munich that will end at around 5:30pm.
