Library of the Max Planck Institutes in Martinsried
The library is a joint facility of the two neighboring Max Planck Institutes for Biochemistry and Neurobiology. Its task is to support research at the institutes as best as possible and through efficient service. For this purpose, it provides printed and electronic media for basic research in the fields of biochemistry, structural research, cell and molecular biology and neurosciences. The library provides access to approximately 35,000 electronic journals. The entire holding is documented in the online catalog. Library services include: document delivery and interlibrary loan, support and information on open access and archiving and managing the publications of the scientists.
For the staff of the two institutes, the library is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Visitors can only use the institute library by prior arrangement by telephone or email.
